What Can I Do?

I cannot rub a crystal ball,
Only make a wish.
I cannot wave a magic wand,
Only close my eyes and sigh and
Think about the dirt and trash.
If only the waters were clear and clean.
We can spend our lives not polluting,
Only then will we see the Anacostia again
a river of wonder and beauty.
