Oda al Agua

Al agua,
que llena los océanos,
que se casa con la tierra,
vuela,
vuelan los dos a los planetas,
que dice a la lluvia a llover.

Al agua,
que monta el viento,
que es más inteligente que un libro,
que puede ser todo,
a los muertos hasta los vivos.

Al agua,
rápida,
fría,
que te puede comer en un bocado,
que lentamente
se hace un riachuelo,
que ríe mientras se cae.

Al agua,
que me ha dado vida.

Ode to Water

To the water,
that fills the oceans,
that marries the earth,
they fly,
they fly together to the planets,
that tell the rain to rain.

To the water,
that rides the wind,
that’s smarter than a book,
that can do anything,
for the dead to the living.

To the water,
fast,
cold,
that can swallow you in one gulp,
that slowly
turns into a creek,
that laughs when it falls.

To the water,
that gave me life.
