Poseidon’s Steeds

Reaching
the pinnacle,
the cusp of its
life. Foaming
forward, crashing
with might. Bringing
treasures, from the
sea’s deep, or maybe
driftwood that an artist
would keep. A collision
of fury, a fusion of hues.
The swirling greesn, and the
explosion of blues. Carrying
minnows, ripping the weeds,
charging the beach are Poseidon’s steeds.

Allegra M. Hyde, Age 14
