Stories Within

The dragon’s tail whips
across the clear blue sky,
carving into the clouds
the story of the world
in the ancient tongue of fire.

On the ocean shore, the story
of the sea is written
along the cool brown sands
in the ancient language of water.

As the tide rises,
the cover of the book
of the story of the sea
slowly closes, holding
the stories within.

As the harvest moon shines
on the desert, the story
of the dark end
of the world is shown.

As the moon goes down
behind the mountains,
the cover of the book to the story
of the end of the world
slowly closes, holding
the stories within.
