What Is Nature to Me?

It’s the smell of fresh hay
in the spring fields.
It’s the wobbly-legged calf
just born that morning.
It’s the old way where no one rushes
’cause there’s no need.
It’s the feeling you get
after finishing the impossible.
It’s a cool dip in the lake
after a hot day.
It’s the love you feel
for relatives not yet seen.
It’s the place most people only
dream about.
It’s your place where you
can relax and sort things out.
It’s a five-star hotel
without room service.
It’s the icing on the cake.
It’s just home.
