Pearls From Above

Punching the ground
With strong, powerful thumps
Pouring out of the sky
Clear immaculate pearls
Each finds a way to the ground
Millions and millions
Try to slide their way through
Some collect in a group
Float together across the land
Pick up passengers along the way:
Slops of mud
Goopy oil
Bits of leaves
Tiny pebbles
All work together
To fight the heavy wind
Pearls turn to coffee
Mud disappears
Oil sinks to the bottom
Each a part of the other
Lost in a world of debris and strangers
