Along the Shore

Pearly grey of sky unites
With pearly grey of lake
Silent drifting depths dream on
Softly murmured sigh
Etched into the rusted shore
An aimless path winds off
Polished bones softly laid
Upon these sands of rest
Caught in a branch strewn on the strand
A wisp of paper, gently blown
Waves a sad farewell
