Untitled

(grey days--
I.
When the sky is just a vast bland sheet of
Cloud. And the sunlight comes through
In only the sickliest shades
2) And the leaves are brown, not burgundy
Or sallow dun instead of gold
II--When the birds are huddled and
Hidden away.
-4-
And the wind is silent and the brook
Mumbles, tuneless,
And the green boughs do not wave.
V:
It is the grey days
when no birds take to wing
that make me hope
and dream
and sing.
