Just Folk

Eyes of rock,
Decayed bogs.
A driftless army.
Nostalgic immigrants.
Tall grasses long and melting.
Hardwood tribes emerging from valleys.
Beautiful streams,
Open pathways to a redwood civilization.
Displaced dams,
Create pools of this gypsy girl’s world.
