Dousing for Life

They are the seekers of life.
Balancing their long, forked willow on two fingers to find water.
Steadily walking back and forth, scanning for the right spot.
Determined to bring up buckets of water with the slightest movement.
Feeling when the willow bends and pulls.
Befriending the willow, as it pulls toward life.
