Midnight

I am a sea horse who is as calm as the sea.
A barn owl who sees the star Orion
00the moon as white as fresh
00snow, the planet Venus, a pale
00blue green star in the light of the moon,
A black indigo snake dark as the night itself
A cricket playing nature’s lullaby
A fox, the hunter of the night
A coyote howling at the moon,
00the howl a long calm “A-whooh”

I am nature’s eyes.
