Summer

Hello Summer, hello crimson
suns and dancing rays, rays
draping love far and wide, hello again.

Hello mornings, hello juncos
to the north, the melody
of arousal, sweet, dewy
and sung too soon.

And afternoons
plunging into a daydream slumber
muddle, ice tea, flower
blossoms, the leaves that hang wearily
in the beaming sun.

And blue skies, bleak crows,
parched puddles and blazing roads,
cherry buds that glow so bright,
hello,

and mountains, brilliant
murky chocolate against the azure glow
clear and polished,
hello open skies,
this new unearthing,
upon which we lay our eyes.
